Well folks, its true what they say, "You win some and you lose some."
That is the case with everything I guess, and definitely with a start-up band like The Skullcaps.
Last night, we played a gig at Aish HaTorah's Cafe Chevra Melava Malka. We were one of three sets. The show opened with Noah Zacharin, a really talented guitarist, and The Shmooze Bros., a bunch of guys who love having fun!
We were third on stage, and almost everything went wrong, at least in our eyes. We opened with Come Together by The Beatles, in which I, as lead singer, forgot some of the lyrics. Next came Walking on the Moon by The Police, in which our electric drum kit toppled over mid song. I totally lost it and could not stop laughing! Our next song was Tear in Heaven by Eric Clapton, in which the drums fell over again and our lead guitarist mixed up the last part of the song. I laughed again! We closed with Eliyahu HaNavi by the Moshav Band. That went alright!
Overall, we learned a few lessons and will only grow stronger as a band because if it. Until next time
FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK........LCHAYIM!!
